Extended Biography

Afnan Karim Kundi started his legal education at the University of Peshawar where he graduated among top 1% of his class of 500. He stood first in the F.E.L (First Examination of Law). Afnan Kundi was actively involved in the College Law Journal "The Jurist" serving as it's Assistant Editor. Being a College Debating Champion in both English and Urdu, Afnan Kundi was selected to represent Pakistan at the South Asian Law Students' Moot in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

He further pursued his education with an LL.M from the University of Houston on a Merit Scholarship. There he was heavily involved in conducting legal research and was awarded the Certificate of Merit. He was also a member of the Asian Law Students' Association.

Afnan Kundi was then enrolled in the prestigious Harvard Law School where he completed a second LL.M. At Harvard, he became a Research Assistant for the Islamic Investment Project (studying Islamic banking and finance), he also served as a member of the LL.M. Academic Committee and was on the Panel of Editors for al-Mehrab, a Harvard University Muslim Students Publication.
